Martin Kristiaman

The Haggai International Alumni in Sydney had organised a meeting for me to speak to them about Workplace Concepts of the Bible.

I met Martin Kristiaman who heads the coordination efforts of Haggai in the region. I had dinner with his wonderful wife & son (later met his Daughter also). I had a great time listening to Martin’s story about business & God and it was a great privilege to meet and get to know his God-loving family. What a joy!

Martin and Ms.Kay Waddle (a H.I. Staff) had made all the arrangement for the meeting and I shared some important principles of ‘Work’ from the bible with this word-thirsty group. We also had a question and answer session where I was able to clarify a few techniques and practical aspects of living a successful work life for God.

The passion that this team had for God was simply awesome to witness! Martin and I also discussed the possibility of conducting more ‘Work’ seminars (for businessmen and pastors) in the days to come.

Worship Led by Jodie Barnard

I was introduced to Pastor Denis while I was in Brisbane (Jackson Seeto made the introduction) and I shared with him my passion and calling for teaching working people & the business community. He immediately caught my vision and later extended an invitation to speak in the Sunday morning service in his church (Meadowbrook Church, Brisbane), which I readily accepted.

It was a church full of people who were thirsty to learn God’s word and apply it to their lives. And that is because their leaders Pastor Denis & Lois Barnard are driven by a great passion to see the Kingdom of heaven built in Meadowbrook!

The worship session was led by ‘Jodie Barnard & team’ (in the photo above) and it was an awesome worship session. Please note: This was just a few days before Jodie’s baby was due!

I shared ‘Work Principles’ from the Bible, God’s perspective of work & the reasons for which we need to go to work on a daily basis. After the service, I had the privilege of praying individually for a few people from the congregation, specifically for their work related problems.

I thank Jackson & Lucy for making this happen!

BOLC Chinese church – Brisbane, Australia – 04th Feb 2012

In Events & Seminars on April 15, 2012 at 15:51

During my visit to Brisbane, Australia, I had the privilege of meeting Pastor. SK, who is the leader of a Chinese church (he managers the church apart from his regular job as an Engineer, in a construction company)

It was a great privilege meeting his church members and sharing God’s word with them.

I shared some principles of Work from the Bible and also heard some excellent testimonies – from a church member and the pastor’s daughter, who had just returned from a missions trip.

Jackson & Lucy Seeto (the family that I was staying with in Brisbane) were supporters of this church and they had organised for me to speak there.

In the 3 days of staying with the Seetos in Brisbane, I learned so many important life-lessons from them. It was a joy to chat with Jackson (who is in his 70s) about his life experiences and his walk with God. Though Lucy is quite, there is so much to learn by seeing the way she has raised her children (her son Gareth is a good friend) and the way she loves the Lord with all her heart. What an inspiring life!

We had a great discussion with Q&A even during lunch time. It was a four 90 mins sessions of discussion and interaction.

Madras Christian College (MCC) – 12th Jan 2012

In Events & Seminars on April 15, 2012 at 13:52

When I walked into the MCC campus in Tambaram, Chennai I was overwhelmed by the historic importance of the place. The college was started in 1837 and it has just walked into the 175th year of operations. It has produced Presidents of Nations, Excellent Sportsmen and Movie celebrities. It has had an undeniable impact on the growth of this great nation of India.

I was invited to speak to the faculty members about ‘Work Principles for Success’. The honorable principal was also present in the session.

I walked the faculty through the important aspects of work, the three key understanding behind ‘work’ as a tool for impact and we discussed about how to apply these principles in their daily lives.

I am not sure of the impact that I created in the session, but I surely walked out of the campus very much impacted by this great institution (Specially looking at the photos of all the principals of the college since the beginning!). As a parting gift I was given a book titled ‘Life and Legacy of Madras Christian College‘. Such a precious gift!
